This saves you money spent on the doctor's fee, as well as time spent sitting in the doctor's office.

You will be able to make an informed decision as to whether or not you are going to live a life that will hinder those types of diseases or if you will make choices that will cause these diseases to develop.

6. You will reduce spreading of acute illness throughout the community by knowing when to quarantine yourself. Some diseases, like colds or flu or chicken pox, require you to be quarantined or confined to your home for a short time to prevent others from catching the illness. If you have learned about how acute illnesses work, you will be able to take steps to keep yourself away from the general public and prevent your sickness from spreading to others in your community.
